So one of the hardest parts of swimsuit shopping for me is finding suits I like that also flatter my smaller bust (member of the A cup team over here). You would think it would be easy because I don’t have to worry about my girls popping out or trying to find the right support but I do find it challenging to find bikini’s and one pieces that don’t squish what I do have down or give the illusion that there is nothing there at all. Trust me, there is at least a palm full.
The Itsy Bitsy Triangle Bikini
Triangle top bikinis are a summer suit staple for me, but usually I opt for a solid color. I find the push-up balcony type are usually super uncomfortable and the wire in the them hurts after about an hour so I opt for the non-wire/non-push up kind. I decided to go for a print this time and I like how this Victoria’s Secret bikini has the same print but opposite colors. The print is simple but fun for summer. It’s a trick of the small bust trade that prints can bring less attention to your bust line and make it look less flat since solid colors can usually read more flat in general. This particular top comes with slight padding, which I love because (TMI) I suffer from “it’s always cold out…even if it’s not cold out…” if you know what I mean…. How cute are the little tassels on it? It also has the scrunchy butt effect which I like because any less material I feel like I might as well just wear a thong and any more feels like granny panties to me.
I paired it with a white kimono and silver statement necklace by Child of Wild

The Bandeau Bikini
Now I know I said I was going to try and stay away from solid colors but I just loved this dusty olive green color. I feel like it looks good on a majority of skin tones, even on people who can’t pull off other green tones. This particular swimsuit top has a flutter overlap of fabric on the top which can give the illusion of a fuller bust. Usually bandeau type strapless tops just smush my little ladies down. This top does come with straps but I prefer the look of it without them. It’s also lightly padded so my bust line looks extra enhanced in this. It will take some getting use to but it’s not a comical amount of padding so don’t feel weary of looking like you’re stuffing.
I paired it with an elephant print ruana, a small gypsy perfume pendant necklace from Vanessa Mooney and some embellished flip flops I scored on Poshmark. Also I flipped the bottom over so you could see the cute ruffle detailing on the butt. SO ADORBS.
The One Piece
So most one pieces I have fallen in love with lately have been black and with a really deep plunging neck line. I feel like I have a few more years before I am ready to roll into a classy glamour one piece like this. So to find a common ground I decided to opt for a really bright one piece. I love this swim suite. One pieces bring a new level of “legs for days”. The bright color just screams summer fun to me. The top doesn’t smoosh my ladies down and the sweetheart neckline is always a flattering neckline for smaller busts. It does come with a strap if needed but usually those type of halter straps irritate my neck after a while so I just toss them out. How beautiful is that aztec embroidery? I scored this on sale from $199 for $49 at 6pm.com but sadly they are now sold out.
I paired it with a navy blue kimono to off set the orange color, a simple tassel necklace from Vanessa Mooney and a pair of retro sunglasses.
